It was the biggest snowstorm
since the Blizzard of January 1996,
and the President's Day
Blizzard came on February 16-17, 2003
with gale-force wind
gusts and dropped 22" of snow on the area.
It
was the 2nd President's Day Storm in history, the last one occurredin 1979. This storm will be
long remembered for its wide swath ofdeep snow from the DC area to Boston, with New Jersey and
NYCin the bullseye!
