TROPICAL PREDICTION CENTER

HURRICANE CENTRAL

The summer of 2004 featured below average rainfall

in the far west and above average rainfall with cooler than

normal temperatures in the midwest and northeast. The

water temperatures were warmer than normal along the

east coast and served to fuel the active hurricane

season which featured several major storms from

August thru late September with Charley, Frances and

Ivan the worst in terms of destruction and rainfall.

The summer of 2004 will be remembered for few 90s

in NYC and the coldest summer in decades in Canada.
